Comedy Central is pleased with the result that the animated comedy has achieved in the last fourteen years.

AceShowbiz - There are three more years in "South Park" life because Comedy Central has renewed it for broadcast up to 2016. Trey Parker and Matt Stone will continue their role as writers, directors and editors of every episode.
"The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds," said Michele Ganeless, president of Comedy Central. "Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy Central. We're thrilled that the adventures of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman will continue through 2016."
In return Parker and Stone said, "Comedy Central has been our home for 15 years and we love working there. South Park is a blast and we can't wait to make more." They have been working on the show since 1997.
Heading for its 20-season mark, "South Park" is officially the longest-running animated series on the cable channel.
