'Tangled' to Get Its Short Film Attached to 'Beauty and the Beast' 3D

In addition to 'Tangled Ever After', Walt Disney Pictures will also release a 'Toy Story' short, which is called 'Small Fry' and set to be played in front of 'The Muppets'.

AceShowbiz - Walt Disney Pictures has given a short film treatment to its animated hit movie, "Tangled". The studio announced on Monday, November 14, that the short titled "Tangled Ever After" is scheduled to be played in front of the 3D re-release of "Beauty and the Beast (1991)", which will arrive in U.S. theaters on January 13, 2012.

In its press release, it is explained that "Tangled Ever After" will still has Mandy Moore voicing Rapunzel and Zachary Levi lending his voice to Flynn. It picks up where the 2010 movie left off, presenting The Kingdom in a festive mood as everyone gathers for the royal wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn.

When Pascal and Maximus lose the gold bands, a frenzied search and recovery mission gets underway. As the desperate duo tries to find the rings before anyone discovers that they're missing, they leave behind a trail of comical chaos that includes flying lanterns, a flock of doves, a wine barrel barricade and a very sticky finale.

Beside "Tangled", Disney also gives a short film treatment to "Toy Story". Titled "Small Fry", the short will be played in front of "The Muppets", which will open on November 23. It follows Buzz Lightyear as he gets left at a fast food restaurant, and needs the help of Fun Meal toys to return home and stop a diminutive Buzz imposter.

To promote "Small Fry", Disney has released a clip. In it, Buzz is seen trying to escape from the restaurant, but he accidentally lands in the middle of wasted Fun Meal toys. The short has a voice cast that include Tim Allen, Tom Hanks, John Ratzenberger, Joan Cusack and Jane Lynch.
