AceShowbiz - A day before Universal Pictures unleashes the first teaser trailer for "Snow White and the Huntsman", Entertainment Tonight has revealed footage of the anticipated movie. The short sneak peek opens with some behind-the-scene moments before finally unveiling some scenes of the film.
The footage highlights the dark side of Charlize Theron's Evil Queen. The antagonist character is seen heartlessly strangling a woman with her hand. It also sees Kristen Stewart's Snow White and Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman in an all-out battle scene.
Previously, Universal has released a three-way banner for the film. The artwork features the three lead characters standing in different backgrounds that represent the atmosphere of the fantasy world in the movie.
"Snow White and the Huntsman" tells a twisted story of the classic fair-skinned princess tale. While the Grimm story presents Snow White as a lovely-singing princess, this movie features the female royal as a tough woman. She fights and defends herself against the Evil Queen under the guidance of the Huntsman.
The fairy tale-adapted movie is directed by Rupert Sanders and is slated for a June 1, 2012 release in U.S. theaters. Joining Stewart, Hemsworth and Theron in the cast ensemble are Sam Claflin, Ian McShane, Sam Spruell, Noah Huntley, as well as Liberty Ross.
