Ralph Fiennes Plays Coy on His Rumored Blofeld Role in 'Skyfall'
Movie

Refusing to give any specific answer when asked to confirm if he will play Blofeld in the next Bond fim, the 'Coriolanus' actor teases, 'I will not be stroking a white pussy!'

AceShowbiz - It has been rumored that Ralph Fiennes might play James Bond's old nemesis, Ernst Stavros Blofeld, in "Skyfall". However, when he was asked to confirm the rumor, the Oscar-nominated actor refused to give any clear answer and still played coy about it.

"I can't say anything," the actor who tackles the lead role in "Coriolanus" told The Playlist, before teasing, "I will not be stroking a white pussy!" He explained that his involvement in the next "Bond" film was partly because screenwriter John Logan "wrote this really interesting part which is really quite fun."

Back in September, Logan teased that Blofeld might return in the latest 007 movie. While attending the BAFTA Screenwriters lecture, the scribe revealed that the iconic supervillain might appear for the first time in the Daniel Craig-starring series. "Bond should always fight Blofeld," so he told the audience. Blofeld last showed up in 1983's "Never Say Never Again", with Max von Sydow taking on the role.

In another news related to "Skyfall", the high profile film project has added two more actresses on its cast ensemble. In an announcement on the film's official Twitter account, it was revealed that Helen McCrory and Ola Rapace have been cast to join Craig in the twenty third installment of the flamboyant British agent film franchise. However, details of their roles are still kept under wraps.

In "Skyfall", which is previously known as "Bond 23", Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost is.

Directed by Sam Mendes, the film will be released on October 26, 2012 in the U.K. before opening wide in U.S. theaters on November 9 next year. It also stars Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe and Albert Finney.
