AceShowbiz - Jimmy Kimmel has made the most of Kim Kardashian's divorce by poking fun at it on his late-night show. Reporting the reality TV star's split from Kris Humphries on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday night, October 31, the comedian also debuted a fake promo for a TV special which is claimed to cover the couple's divorce process.
Called "Kim & Kris Kall It Kwits", the faux E! special is said to feature the dissolution of a lifetime with Lady Antebellum as the musical guest. The short skit also mentions Ryan Seacrest, who produces Kim's reality series on the channel, as the host for "Kim & Kris Kall It Kwits".
Prior to sharing the fake promo, Kimmel said, "She [Kim] has decided not to pick his [Kris] option up for another season," when telling his audience that Kim has filed for divorce from Kris after "72 days of wedded bliss." He commented, "It's a shame. I thought they'd be together for at least another 5 to 10 Us Weekly covers."
"Kim has asked that her fans give her a complete lack of privacy during this time," the recently tapped host for 2012 White House Correspondents' Dinner went on joking. He additionally admitted he was crying when watching Kim's wedding special on E! and wanted "those 11 hours of my life back now," reasoning, "I feel kind of cheated by all this."
Kim's divorce was also addressed on other late-night shows, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Late Show with David Letterman". Jay Leno said, "To their credit, they did try 20 minutes of counseling. It just didn't work," while David Letterman joked, "They started bickering at the altar - now they're fighting over custody of the cake."
