AceShowbiz - A few days away from the premiere of "Once Upon a Time", the first nine minutes of the first episode have been made available for viewing pleasure. It begins with the fairytale where Prince Charming (Joshua Dallas) saves Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) with a kiss. What was supposed to be a happy ending, however, is ruined when the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) interrupts the couple's wedding.
The story then jumps to the present when bail bonds collector Emma (Jennifer Morrison) dates a guy only to capture him. Returning home to celebrate her birthday alone, Emma gets a surprise when a boy named Henry (Jared Gilmore) shows up on her doorway and says that he is her son.
Coming from "Lost" writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, "Once Upon a Time" is a fantasy family drama where fairytale characters are trapped in a modern world. According to Henry's book of fairytales, Emma is sent away to protect her from the Evil Queen's curse.
Emma initially doesn't believe a word, but when she brings Henry back to Storybrooke, she finds herself drawn to this unusual boy and his strange New England town. She later suspects that Storybrooke is a place where magic has been forgotten.
"Once Upon a Time" will first air on ABC this Sunday, October 23 at 8/7c.
