2011 Scream Award Winners in TV: 'Game of Thrones' and 'True Blood'

Both series win three each, with the medieval fantasy series being named Best TV Show and the vampire-themed show winning Best Ensemble prize.
2011 Scream Award Winners in TV: 'Game of Thrones' and 'True Blood'

HBO's shows have dominated the 2011 Scream Awards. At the ceremony which was held on Saturday, October 15, two of the network's favorite series, "" and "", took home three kudos each.

"Thrones" grabbed the coveted Best TV Show title, edging out its fellow HBO series "True Blood", FOX's "", AMC's "" and BBC's "". , who recently won an Emmy through his role on the rookie series, was also named Best Supporting Actor at the latest event.

The third win for "Thrones" was obtained through 's portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen. The 24-year-old British beauty nabbed the prize in the Breakout Performance - Female category.

Coming out as the winner in Breakout Performance - Male category was who plays Alcide on "True Blood". His co-star was also honored with Best Horror Actor kudo. The fantasy series was additionally deemed having the Best Ensemble.

Another TV show which had its glorious moment at the prize-giving event was "Doctor Who". Although losing its shot at winning the Best TV Show award, it managed to help claim the Best Science Fiction Actor title.

The 2011 Scream Awards, which celebrates the best in sci-fi, horror and fantasy, will air Tuesday, October 18 at 9 P.M. ET/PT on Spike TV. "" was the big winner in movie with The Ultimate Scream title among others.
