TV

In the next episode, Rick will bring wounded Carl to Hershel Greene's house, and his wife gets emotional after what happened to their son in the second season premiere.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming second episode of "The Walking Dead" season 2 will introduce Hershel's farm and people residing there. The place will be Rick's destination after [SPOILER ALERT!] his and Lori's son Carl got shot in the 90-minute premiere episode.

Lori gets emotional as she finds that their road to survival is getting harder after what happened to their son. Meanwhile, Hershel points out the need to set clear boundaries between his family's members and the new people they met despite the fact that he welcomes them in his house.

"Bloodletting" will air next Monday, October 23 at 9/8c on AMC.

Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd said that after Carl's shooting in the premiere episode, other characters will realize there is still a threat from another human since zombie would not hurt people with a gun. The shocking plot is also made to explore what the new world is like for children.

"Carl getting shot is definitely going to have everyone second-guessing themselves, trying to figure out what it is that led to that and how it can be avoided in the future", Robert Kirkman, who wrote the graphic novel on which the TV series is based, chimed in. "It really is just a horrific thing that they all have to deal with and a lot of things come out of that."

On how this tragedy affects Rick, Kirkman explained, "Rick is definitely going to have to rethink a lot of his actions and it's going to have Shane possibly thinking that Rick can't protect anybody." Hurd added, "Rick is going to question his abilities as both a leader and a father."

Meanwhile, at a New York Comic-Con panel on Saturday, Chandler Riggs who plays Carl hinted that his character evolves in this season. The young actor said this time Carl goes out and gets in the middle of the action, instead of standing passively by.
