Stefan upsets Damon since he stays in Mystic Falls to carry out Klaus' order, while at another time he unleashes a threat to his former ally Alaric.

AceShowbiz - It's the first day of school when "The Vampire Diaries" returns next week. Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and Matt are still reeling from recent events when another danger comes for Elena. In a sneak peek to the upcoming episode, she is seen being trapped in a car surrounded by fire.
Damon, meanwhile, is annoyed by a new houseguest and complains about Stefan, saying his brother is "high on human blood, lots of it." Damon is also very upset that Stefan stays in Mystic Falls to carry out his latest assignment from Klaus.
Alaric welcomes a new student in his history class. The new student, whose arrival surprises everyone, could be Stefan since he is seen blending with students at the school. However, instead of rebuilding their good relationship, Stefan will make a threat to his former ally Alaric.
Also in "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which will air Thursday, October 20 at 8/7c on The CW, Matt asks Bonnie for help when he realizes he made a serious mistake, and Tyler seems to be enjoying everything a little too much on the first day of his senior year.
