Lindsay Lohan Assigned to Red Cross After Getting Booted From Community Service Program

Words are, the 'Machete' actress got kicked out of the community service program at the Downtown Women's Center in Los Angeles for allegedly violating the rules several times.

AceShowbiz - Just days away from her scheduled progress-report hearing, news broke out that Lindsay Lohan has been reassigned to a new community service program. Her representative confirmed to E! News that the "Mean Girls" star "is now serving her community service at the Red Cross."

Lindsay was actually ordered to serve 360 hours of community service at the Downtown Women's Center in Los Angeles as part of her probation in her shoplifting case. However, it was recently alleged that the 25-year-old got kicked out of the program in late September because she "violated the rules numerous times."

Per TMZ, though the terms of her program required her to be reliable and non-disruptive, the older sister of Ali Lohan blew off nine scheduled appointments. She was also told to serve at least 4 hours at a time, but when she did show up, she would often leave after working for only an hour.

The gossip site additionally reported that Lindsay has been telling friends that the staff at the Downtown Women's Center was mean to her. She also claimed that she did everything she was asked to do over the past few months, and insisted that she never showed up late. As for her current assignment at the Red Cross, she allegedly said that her relationship with the staff is good.

Lindsay is due to appear before the judge in Los Angeles for a hearing next Wendesday, October 19.
