AceShowbiz - Drake proudly shows off various places which become the landmark of his hometown, Canada in "Headlines" music video co-directed by Lamar Taylor and Hyghly Alleyne. The Young Money rapper takes his fans for a quick tour around the town by filing the clip with fast-paced footage.
Drizzy strikes a pose in front of the pillars of the historic Guild with his OVO (October's Very Own) crew before lighting up the Toronto's Rogers Centre with his "Take Care" sign. The "Marvin's Room" crooner also celebrates the good life by raising his glass and having a toast with his team at a lavish dinner.
"Headlines" is the first single from Drizzy's upcoming second studio album "Take Care" which is due in the U.S. on his 25th birthday, October 24. Talking to Billboard's The Juice, he admitted that the song is not the best track from the album, but "it's really just the song for this moment."
"I always try to put forth a song with a message. A lot of people pick their single by what's the strongest song. I don't really do that. I like to make sure that the content is very relevant to right now," he gushed. "I want people to party to it but at the same time the fans, the people that care about my career, the people that follow me, will hear a message in it."
Before premiering the video, Drake was honored with Allan Slaight Award at Canada's Walk of Fame. He was recognized for making a positive impact in the world of arts, sports, or philanthropy at such young age. "I am a proud Canadian, and I am grateful to Canada's Walk of Fame and the Slaight Foundation for this award," he said.
