AceShowbiz - From a nerdy high schooler in "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)", Katy Perry transforms back into her old self, a sophisticated chick, for her next single "The One That Got Away". The wife of British funnyman Russell Brand reveals the look in an official cover art for the single.

"The One That Got Away... It's happening!!!" Perry posted the artwork on her Twitter and accompanied it with a short message. The popstar rocks cute pink hair with a little gold-colored umbrella piece adorning it. She's seen gazing longingly at something unseen with her red lips slightly open.

"The One That Got Away" is taken from Perry's 2010 summer album "Teenage Dream". "I'm so pleased to select 'The One That Got Away' as my 6th single because this song shows a very different side of me that I haven't shown with my past singles on this record," she said.

"I think that everyone can relate to this song. I wrote this song about when you promise someone forever, but you end up not being able to follow through. It's a bittersweet story - hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had 'The One' get away."

Prior to releasing the single, Perry has dropped five singles which climbed the top spot on Billboard Hot 100. She becomes the first female act to reach such unprecedented feat, and tied Michael Jackson's historic record as an artist with five separate No. 1s on one album alone.

Perry additionally celebrated her long run on the top 10. By mid-August, she has spent 66 consecutive weeks on the list. She surpassed the previous record held by Ace of Base who had occupied the Hot 100's top 10 for 48 straight weeks (October 1993 - September 1994).
