Showtime to Air Documentary of 'Controversial' Suge Knight

The tentatively self-titled film will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and take viewers 'behind a curtain that most have been terrified to even approach.'

AceShowbiz - Suge Knight is picked up as a subject in a documentary which will be produced by Showtime. The network announced on Tuesday, September 26 that the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records is the highlight in the film which will be directed by "Brooklyn's Finest" helmer Antoine Fuqua.

Tentatively titled "Suge Knight", the film is the first in a series of documentaries for the network from "talented and prestigious filmmakers" that "will spotlight iconic and controversial figures." Fuqua will additionally produce it alongside Bradley J. Fischer and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chuck Philips.

"While his name elicits an immediate and powerful reaction from people around the world, very few can legitimately claim to know the man," Fisher said of 46-year-old Kinght. "Antoine Fuqua and I are thrilled to be partnering with Showtime to tell this remarkable story and take audiences behind a curtain that most have been terrified to even approach."

Knight's new music company, Black Kapital, will oversee the soundtrack for the film, which is yet to have a premiere date.
