In the video, Worthington's Nick Cassidy is seen standing on a window ledge, threatening to jump off only to prove that he's been wrongfully accused for a crime he never did.

AceShowbiz - Summit Entertainment has debuted the first trailer for "Man on a Ledge" via Yahoo! Movies. In it, the lead actor Sam Worthington is seen stealing people's attention by standing on a window ledge of a tall building in New York City. He is seen attempting to commit a suicide, while at the same time his brother is involved in a massive diamond heist.

Earlier before the fresh trailer arrives, a poster for the movie has also been made available online. The one-sheet sees Worthington's character from the upper angle, standing tall alone on the ledge with a crowd of people gathering under the building. It has a tagline that reads, "You Can Only Push an Innocent Man so Far".

"Man on a Ledge" centers on Worthington's Nick Cassidy who is jailed for a crime he didn't commit. After seizing his first chance to escape, he stands on a window ledge high above the Big Apple and requests to speak with a police negotiator Lydia Anderson as a part of his grand plan. At the same time, he coordinates a high-tech theft of a $30 million diamond, the same diamond he was convicted of stealing. He thinks that the scenario is the only way to prove his innocence.

The thriller features a solid cast ensemble that includes Elizabeth Banks as Lydia and Jamie Bell as Nick's brother Joey. Anthony Mackie, Kyra Sedwick as well as Ed Harris also support the movie. Directed by Asger Leth, the film is set to hit theaters across the U.S. on January 13, 2012.
