Kiefer Sutherland's New Drama 'Touch' Gets Series Order

FOX has ordered 13 episodes of the drama project from 'Heroes' creator Tim Kring, with the '24' alum on the lead.

AceShowbiz - Kiefer Sutherland is going to return to FOX with a new series "Touch". The network has officially ordered 13 episodes of the drama project which follows the Jack Bauer depicter as a widower and a single father to a mute 11-year-old boy, who communicates through numbers and has the ability to predict events before they happen.

Another ambitious series from "Heroes" creator Tim Kring, "Touch" is described as a "distinct and colorful drama in which science and spirituality intersect." FOX has planned a 2012 spring premiere for the drama series.

This new series also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as a social worker, Danny Glover as a professor and expert on gifted children, as well as newcomer David Mazouz as the autistic son, Jake. Kring wrote the pilot while Francis Lawrence directed it. The two will also serve as executive producer alongside Sutherland, Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Suzan Bymel and Carol Barbee.
