The 'Eight Second Ride' singer rules both Billboard Country Song and Album charts with 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night'.

AceShowbiz - Jake Owen continues to outdo himself by climbing higher than the last time he dropped a single in the United States. The 30-year-old musician secured the first place in Billboard Country Song chart with his newest offering "Barefoot Blue Jean Night", scoring his best chart performance yet.

"I knew it would be a hit," he told the Boot. "But I didn't know it would be this big. I don't know what else to base it off of, because I've never had anything like that. I've had hits on the radio, but this is different. I keep telling folks, there's a difference between a hit song and a career song, and this is a career song."

In Billboard Hot 200, Owen who recently supported Keith Urban's tour is also steadily climbing the ladder. After moving up from No. 26 to No. 24, he proceeded to take three more higher steps by occupying the twenty first place. His previous best-charting single was 2008's "Don't Think I Can't Love You" which peaked at No. 57.

The same thing happened with the album where the single appears. Taking the same title as the song, "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" which was released Stateside on August 30 reigned Billboard Country Album chart and bowed at No. 6 on Hot 200. It marks the fastest-rising album in Owen's career.
