A product by the actor's character in one of 'Saturday Night Live' skits has been incorporated into a new ice cream flavor called 'Schweddy Balls'.

AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin's "balls" would be available for limited consumption soon. Ice cream company Ben & Jerry's has created a new flavor which is inspired by the actor's skit on "Saturday Night Live" in which he posed as the owner of a holiday bakery called Season's Eatings.

The flavor's name, Schweddy Balls, refers back to Baldwin's character Pete Schweddy who did a radio interview with "SNL" regulars Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer to talk about his new products. In the skit, Schweddy said, "There are lots of great treats this time of year. Zucchini bread. Fruitcake. But the thing I most like to bring out at this time of the year are my balls."

Schweddy sells popcorn balls, rum balls, cheese balls and the list continued to audience's amusement. "No one can resist my Schweddy Balls," the bakery owner said. Ben & Jerry's has decided to make it real, choosing "vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and loaded with fudge-covered rum and malt balls."

"The name is irreverent," the company's spokesperson told Time. "But we've always been about having some irreverence and having some fun. ...We're not trying to offend people. Our fans get the humor." The ice cream would be available for three to four months of sale, depending on the popularity.

Baldwin said in the press release, "For a long time, I thought that 'Here Lies Pete Schweddy' would end up on my tombstone. Now, thanks to Ben & Jerry's, the goodness of the Schweddy family recipe won't go with me to the great beyond. It is immortalized here, right now, and it's an ice cream. Ben & Jerry's and Schweddy. Two great names in American dessert, together at last."

Gasteyer chimed in, "As a person and a performer, I am a sucker for holiday balls. And I have no doubt this ice cream will cause many to scream 'Good Times'."
