The 'Breakfast Club' actor, who was placed under citizen's arrest for disturbing the peace, has been released from custody shortly after midnight on Tuesday, September 6.

AceShowbiz - Anthony Michael Hall has got himself arrested for causing a disturbance at his Los Angeles apartment complex. His neighbors, however, were not surprised by the arrest, TMZ claimed. In fact, the gossip site noted that the star of "The Breakfast Club" has left his neighbors frightened for months.

Accordingly, the 43-year-old was often seen screaming obscenities and challenging people to fights in the street. It was also alleged that he cussed at people, flipped them off and attempted to squirt people with a hose. One person said, "I have considered buying a gun to stay safe from Hall ... he's the scariest person I've ever encountered in my life."

Hall was placed under citizen's arrest by a neighbor on Monday, September 5. Before the arrest, he allegedly tore up plants, yelled at people in the complex, and pounded on doors. Offering more details was Los Angeles Times, which reported that a neighbor heard the actor tearing up plants in the common area of their condominium.

When the neighbor asked Hall what he was doing, the actor playing Gotham Cable News reporter Mike Engel in "The Dark Knight" reacted by hurling an obscenity and threatening to "beat him to a pulp". His neighbor proceeded to call the police after the actor told him to come outside to fight.

Because of the incident, Hall was booked on charges of disturbing the peace. The actor, who was also known for his role in "Sixteen Candles", was released from custody shortly after midnight on Tuesday, September 6 on a reported $500 bail.
