The Tate Taylor-directed drama secures the top spot for the third week in a row, holding off such newcomers as 'The Debt' and 'Apollo 18' from taking the crown.

AceShowbiz - For the third week in a row, "The Help" secured the first place at North American box office. On this labor day weekend, the drama dropped a miniscule 2|percent| and raked in an approximately $14.2 million. So far, the movie grossed $118.6 million in total after four weeks playing in theaters.
Newly released "The Debt" landed on the second place with an estimated $9.7 million. The John Madden-directed thriller has grossed $11.6 million since being released on Wednesday, August 31.
Finishing on number three was another newcomer, "Apollo 18". The sci-fi thriller has earned around $8.7 million which was below expectation. The movie, which production only cost $5 million, appealed to 59|percent| male moviegoers, with 64|percent| of them over the age of 25.
Another thriller, "Shark Night 3D", was placed fourth with an estimated $8.6 million on its debut weekend. The David R. Ellis-directed film attracted 57|percent| youngsters, with 53|percent| of them male viewers.
Rounding up the top five was "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", which grossed an approximately $7.8 million, dropping 12|percent| from last weekend. The sci-fi movie has earned $160 million in total for its domestic cume.
