The gang of the 'American Pie' film series return for a high school reunion of their 1999 class to find that distance can't break their bonds of friendship.

AceShowbiz - A first look photo at "American Reunion" has made its way out onto the web via PEOPLE. The fresh image sees the original cast of the "American Pie" comedy franchise reuniting and posing as the Class of 1999 at East Great Falls.

Along with the image, a slide-show video that features a photo-booth style shot has also been available online. The video presents a sense of nostalgia as pictures of the cast members, with their funny faces, show up one by one while Matt Nathanson's cover of "Laid" plays throughout the clip.

Speaking of reuniting with his "American Pie" co-stars, Seann William Scott who plays Steve Stifler said, "In many respects we've grown up a lot. But on the other hand we haven't grown up at all." He added, "On-set, Jason Biggs was farting up a storm, Chris Klein was belching, and Eddie Kaye Thomas and Biggs were hitting each other in [the groin]."

Biggs, who plays James "Jim" Levenstein, chimed in, "We realized that no matter how much we may have changed individually, as a group we will always be connected and have a special chemistry that arises immediately when we're together." Agreeing his comrade's statement, Scott went on saying, "We can't help but be reminded that a lot of us started off our career together."

Meanwhile, speaking about his character Stifler, Scott gushed, "We didn't put any rules on what he would say or what he would do." He said, "He is way crazier than we have ever seen him."

In "American Reunion" which will be directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, the gang return to East Great Falls for their high school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they'll discover what has changed, who hasn't, and that time and distance can't break the bonds of friendship. The comedy film is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on April 6, 2012.
