The 'Modern Family' patriarch was presented with the 2,446th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, August 30 in a ceremony featuring Sofia Vergara and Katey Sagal.

AceShowbiz - Ed O'Neill has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Tuesday, August 30, the actor who earned his fame playing shoe salesman Al Bundy on "Married... with Children" was joined by his two TV wives, Sofia Vergara and Katey Sagal, during the unveiling ceremony located in front of a shoe shop.

Kicking things off was Ed's first TV wife, Katey. In her speech, the actress who played Peggy Bundy on "Married" said as quoted by E!, "I want to tell Eddie, he's one lucky mo-fo. Here he's got these two beautiful women that he's had in his life, hopefully this one as long as he's had me. And I'm sure he will."

Ed's current TV wife, Sofia, later took turn to honor the Emmy Awards nominee with a joke. "When I was in Colombia and I was a young, very beautiful girl, I would watch 'Married... With Children', with Ed with his hand in his pants, talking with this very sexy Antonio Banderas accent - because in Colombia it was dubbed into Spanish," she recalled.

The actress playing Gloria on "Modern Family" continued, "So he talked perfect Spanish, and there I was sitting, and I would never in a million years think that I was going to grow up to marry Al Bundy. Never, even if somebody had paid me to believe that...But to marry Al Bundy has been one of the most joyful things in my whole life."

When it was his turn to deliver the speech, Ed joked, "As I'm standing here, it's a bit emotional. I can't help thinking that somewhere in the world, at this moment in a hospital, a beautiful little baby girl is being born. And when she grows up she's going to be my next wife on TV, and I look forward to that day."

On a more serious note, the 65-year-old admitted, "This is overwhelming. I want to thank the fans for being here. No fans, no show, no career." He was joined by wife Catherine Rusoff and two daughters, as well as other "Modern Family" co-stars, including Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Rico Rodriguez.
