Words are, director Simon West also considers bringing in Christopher Lambert and Christian Slater to join Sylvester Stallone in the sequel to 'The Expendables'.

AceShowbiz - More actors are being eyed to fill up the star-studded cast of "The Expendables II". Moviehole has just brought in a report suggesting that director Simon West is adding "Twilight Saga" hunk Taylor Lautner and "Ghost Rider" lead Nicolas Cage to his wish list.

The two are not the only ones mentioned though. Accordingly, "Gunmen" star Christopher Lambert and "Breaking In" thesp Christian Slater are also being considered to join Sylvester Stallone and Jean-Claude Van Damme in the action-packed movie. Still, a source noted, "Most offers yet to go out."

Before talks of the four actors' potential casting surfaced, several other notable actors have made the list. Last July, John Travolta and Chuck Norris were linked to the project. Most recently, it was rumored that Hong Kong actor Donnie Yen has been offered to join in, but his rep said that the actor will not make a decision yet because he still has a number of projects to finish.

This sequel to 2010's "The Expendables" is expected to arrive in U.S. theaters on August 17, 2012. Details about the project are still locked, but it has been unraveled that Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Randy Couture and Dolph Lundgren are among the original cast returning. Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are expected to have bigger roles than cameos.
