Johnny Depp, Steve Carell and More Celebrity Guests in New Promo of 'Life's Too Short'

Depp, Carell, Helena Bonham Carter, Liam Neeson and many others are set to appear alongside Warwick Davis in the new comedy from Ricky Gervais.

AceShowbiz - Ricky Gervais is lining up a number of A-listers to boost his new show "Life's Too Short". The likes of Johnny Depp, Steve Carell, Helena Bonham Carter and Liam Neeson are set to be featured in the sitcom, and their upcoming appearance is highlighted in a new promo for the show.

In the video, Depp is seen having a meeting with the show's lead star Warwick Davis, Carell gives a nod to an offer to join the sitcom, Carter shoots a scene with Davis, while Neeson speaks to Gervais about doing a comedy. Other stars set to make cameos on the series are Cat Deeley, Sting, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Les Dennis, Keith Chegwin and Shaun Williamson.

Described as a cross between "The Office" and "Extras", "Life's Too Short" is going to be presented as a faux documentary. It follows Davis as a fictionalized version of himself, a person who has fallen on hard times and desperately tries to hustle and connive his way back into the spotlight.

Gervais writes and executive produces the show which will be debuted on BBC Two later this year, and on HBO in 2012. The "Ghost Town" actor as well as co-writer/co-creator Stephen Merchant will additionally star in minor roles.
