AceShowbiz - In the wake of stage collapse at Pukkelpop festival in Belgium, a number of artists especially the ones who have been booked to perform at the gig express their condolence. The likes of 30 Seconds to Mars and Foo Fighters took to their Twitter and official website to send prayers to the victims.

30 Seconds' frontman Jared Leto wrote on his website, "Our deepest thoughts and sympathies to the families and friends of those who lost their lives today at the show in Belgium. We are absolutely devastated that this celebration ended in tragedy. To those that were injured we are sending thoughts and prayers."

He continued by announcing that their upcoming performance at the music event has been canceled. "Obviously under these horrible and dangerous circumstances, and out of respect for those who have passed, Thirty Seconds to Mars will not be playing. We love you all and hope tomorrow brings a better day," he stated.

A few hours earlier, Jared warned his Twitter followers about storm around the area where the festival was taking place. In all-capital letters, he wrote, "Crazy storm at Pukkelpop in Belgium - not sure we will be able to go on stage - stayed tuned. Safety first four stages down - still raining + thunder if you are here please be safe"

He followed it up with one more message, "Serious injuries at the festival. More bad weather poss heading this way. Please take care and caution." His bandmate Shannon Leto posted on his own page, "My heart goes out to the friends and families of the people that have died."

In line with 30 Seconds' statement, Foo Fighter tweeted on their account, "Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the tragic events at Pukkelpop. For information +32 (0) 11 23 97 11." The Wombats also wrote, "Hope everyone is ok at pukkelpop, that hurricaine was horrendous! Big Love xxx."

Fleet Foxes reached to their fans, "We are all safe at Pukkelpop. Crazy storm. This is awful. Hearts go out to all. If any of our crew's loved ones are reading this, Brian, Joey, Trevor, Mike, Ben, and Jared are all safe. We're all good. Our hearts go out to all who lost their lives or were injured in today's storm at Pukkelpop. This is not how it should be."

John Blake took a moment to share condolence as well. "On behalf of myself, Ben and Rob, I'd like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to anyone caught or hurt in the storms at Pukkelpop. Our show has been cancelled. Thanks to everyone who came to support us," he wrote.

A heavy storm hit the site of Pukkelpop festival on Thursday, August 18, tearing down its Chateau stage, collapsing several other tents and causing widespread damage. At least three people were killed and more than 70 others were injured with 11 of them in serious condition. More than 20 ambulances were called to the scene.

Soon after the tragic accident, organizers for the show "put the festival on hold until we understand the situation completely." They issued statement, "The Pukkelpop organisation has decided to cancel all shows tonight out of respect for the victims. We want to make our hearts and our minds silent for the festival goers that we lost and the ones that were injured." Headliners for the gig include Eminem and The Offspring.
