Police found heroin and marijuana in the car of the troubled son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett when he was pulled over in Santa Monica after running a red light.

AceShowbiz - Redmond O'Neal apparently hasn't learned his lesson. Nearly a year after graduating from a court-ordered drug program, the troubled son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett has found himself arrested once again for possession of heroin and marijuana and is being held without bail.

The 26-year-old was initially pulled over in Santa Monica after he ran a red light on Tuesday (August 2) morning. A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department told Radar Online, "At approximately 8:45 a.m. a motor officer observed an argument at a store on Lincoln corner of Michigan. The officer then watched as he got into his vehicle."

"He proceeded to go northbound on Lincoln before turning west bound on Olympic, it was at this time the officer observed him going through the red turn arrow," the spokesperson continued. "The officer stopped him for the traffic violation. A search of his vehicle was done and narcotics were recovered."

It was not determined if Redmond was under the influence of drugs, but he was booked for the red light infraction, violating felony drug probation and possession of a controlled substance. If formally charged, the redhead could be sent back to prison because he was on felony probation. A court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, August 4.

Redmond has battled addiction issues since his teens. He put behind bars in 2009 after being found in possession of heroin during a routine security check at the Pitchess Detention Center. After completing rehab program in 2010, he said in a statement, "My plan is to move forward with my life, clean and sober."
