New Equality Tattoo Sparks Debate, Miley Cyrus Defends Disapproving Fan
Celebrity

When one of her Twitter followers got attacked for disagreeing with her support for marriage equality, the 'Can't Be Tamed' singer is quick to remind others, 'Everyone is entitled 2 opinions!'

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus has no hard feeling toward fans who do not share the same view about gay marriage with her. On Friday, July 29, the "So Undercover" actress posted a picture of her ring finger sporting a new tattoo of what seems to be a symbol for marriage equality, and came in defense of a fan who disagreed with her description, "All LOVE is equal."

After Miley posted the photo, a follower called MileyCyrusLuver tweeted, "@MileyCyrus look up Leviticus, 1 Corinthians. Read both chapters and tell me where God says homosexuality, incest, and polygamy is ok?" In response, the songstress replied, "where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn't. GOD is the only judge honey. 'GOD is love'."

Miley's response triggered further debate over gay marriage and attacks at MileyCyrusLuver. Trying to put a brake on the Twitter brawl, the "Can't Be Tamed" singer quickly wrote, "Dude everyone lay off @MileyCyrusLuver Love u! Everyone is entitled 2 opinions! 'if u don't stand 4 something you'll fall for anything.' :)"

The former "Hannah Montana" star has been a vocal supporter for LGBT rights. After Casey Anthony got the not guilty verdict on murder charges, she shared her disappointment on Twitter by writing, "You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we cant get gay marriage legalized in the state of California."

Miley's equality tattoo itself adds to her collection of body art. She already has a heart on her little finger, anchor on her wrist, dreamcatcher on her ribcage, and the words "Just Breathe" on the left side of her chest.
