The former First Lady of California writes, 'What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine,' while the 'Terminator' star himself posts, 'I knew Christopher couldn't be stopped!'

AceShowbiz - Around a week after he was admitted to the ICU following a boogie boarding accident, Arnold Schwarzenegger's son Christopher was allowed to go home. Making the announcement via Twitter was his mother Maria Shriver. "Blessed to be able to take Christopher out of the hospital last night," she wrote on Tuesday, July 26.
"What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine," the 55-year-old, who is in the process of divorce with Arnold, continued in the same tweet. She followed it up with another posting, "Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. The whole family, especially Christopher, felt your love."
Maria went on to admit, "We were very lucky. Many patients and families we met have been there so long and have no end in sight. I pray for their recovery." She ended her series of tweets with a posting that read, "I will forever be grateful to the amazing doctors, nurses and hospital staff in the ICU who helped my son."
Also taking to Twitter to share his joy was 63-year-old Arnold. The former California governor posted, "I knew Christopher couldn't be stopped! Big thanks to all the doctors, nurses & staff at UCLA that helped him recover." Earlier, he tweeted, "Thanks for all your support for Christopher. It means a lot to me & to him. He's doing much better & we'll have him back at full speed soon."
13-year-old Christopher got into a boogie board accident on July 17. He was reported to have suffered from multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung because of the mishap. In a joint statement, Arnold and Maria said, "While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends. He is a brave boy and is expected to make a full recovery."
