Comic-Con 2011: 'Supernatural' and 'Vampire Diaries' Debut Sneak Peek of New Season

A first clip from 'Supernatural' season 7 offers 'a little slice of life back into Sam's past', while naked Damon wears nothing but bubbles in a sneak peek to 'TVD' season 3.

Two of The CW's supernatural series, "" and "", were heading to San Diego Comic Con over the weekend. Featuring and , the panel for "Supernatural" on Sunday, July 24 presented a clip from the upcoming seventh season.

Taken from the third episode which is directed by Ackles, the clip is described by the Dean depicter as "a little slice of life back into Sam's past." It focuses on Padalecki's character and his old childhood friend played by guest star . Sam is seen promising to drop the knife he brings in return of Staite's character showing what is behind a secret door.

Talking about guest stars, showrunner Sera Gamble confirmed that Alona Tal (Jo Harvelle), Julian Richings (Death) and Kim Rhodes (Sheriff Mills) will return in this new chapter. Meanwhile, executive producer Ben Edlund shared that he has ideas which have something to do with "ninjas and spaceships", gushing "I think Sam and Dean should fight the ninjas!"

A day before on July 23, , , and more cast members showed up at "TVD" panel which also brought forward a sneak peek to the first episode of season 3. Somerhalder shows off some skin in this scene as his character Damon is featured walking out naked and only covered in bubbles when Elena is trying to leave the Salvatore mansion.

Dishing on who will Elena choose between Damon and Stefan, executive producer Kevin Williamson said, "Katherine said at the end of the season, 'It's okay to love both of them.' We're going to see what that means." He added, "This is a story about three people, and clearly they all have feelings for each other."

"Brothers, friends, lovers, and we'll just have to watch it play out. It's going to have a lot of twists and turns. There are too many things in the way for them just to run into each others' arms."
