'True Blood' 4.05 Preview: Godric to Make Eric Break Vow
TV

Usually known for his wise decisions, the vampire legend will suggest Eric to drink Sookie's blood.

AceShowbiz - Godric is returning to "True Blood" in the upcoming episode, but will not show his angelic side. While he has several times appeared after his true demise to prevent Eric from doing any harms, this time he will lure Eric into a big temptation, drinking Sookie's blood.

Meanwhile, Sookie keeps nurturing Eric who loses his mind, and Bill gets involved personally in the witch issue. Arlene and Terry decide to turn to religion to try and solve their baby problem, Jesus and Lafayette take a trip to Mexico to harness a shaman's power, while Jason spends time recovering from his recent injuries.

"Me and the Devil" will air Sunday, July 24 at 9 P.M. on HBO. Allan Hyde reprises his role as Eric's maker, Godric. Werewolf Alcide will also appear in the episode and get an unexpected visit from a guest whom he unfriendly welcomes.

Speaking of his character complicated relationship with Sookie in the fourth season of "True Blood", Joe Manganiello recently said, "You're going to see Alcide actively trying to protect Sookie again. Not because of any debt that Alcide's father owes Eric, but simply because at this point Alcide cares and therefore his heart is getting pulled in two directions."

"They have conversations which continue into this season about someday they could just ditch all this and get away from everything," the actor further explained what Alcide has to offer to Sookie. "So, he certainly represents a kind of fantasy to her, because she's so inextricably intertwined. And she knows - and Alcide I think also knows - that she can never really leave this world."
