Tumbler and Batpod Spotted on 'The Dark Knight Rises' Set
Movie

Along with a Gotham Police SWAT truck, the Batmobiles are pictured in Pittsburgh where the movie is set to be filmed at Carnegie Mellon University.

AceShowbiz - Just a day after "The Dark Knight Rises" teaser trailer leaked, two new on-set pictures taken from the movie's filming in Pittsburgh, PA have landed online via Superhero Hype. One sees Tumbler sitting on an open trailer in front of Batpod which is wrapped under a blue cover. The other picture shows a police truck.

While the Batpod is kept hidden, the Batcar is visible. It's similar to the one used by director Christopher Nolan in 2008's "The Dark Knight", but it has a darker coat of paint. As for the truck, it bears the logo of Gotham Police SWAT.

Nolan and his crew will do the filming of the "Dark Knight Rises" at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University. They will stage a prison break with "precision stunt driving, gunfire, atmospheric smoke, and controlled pyrotechnic explosions."

Also, there will be "scenes outside the Fifth Ave. entrance of Mellon Institute [that] include a standoff between two rivals that escalates into a riot." In these scenes, "one character drives a motorcycle through the fourth floor lobby, out the front doors and down the steps onto Fifth Ave."

The action movie is going to be released in theaters across the United States in the summer of 2012. Christian Bale is going to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/the Dark Knight, and Gary Oldman comes back as Commissioner Gordon. Anne Hathaway is added to the cast ensemble to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

Its official teaser trailer is going to be attached to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" when the Daniel Radcliffe-starring film is out in theaters across the United States beginning July 15.
