First Look at Dwarves Fili and Kili of 'The Hobbit'

A newly released photo from 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' uncovers Dean O'Gorman and Aidan Turner as the dwarf brothers in their full costumes complete with big swords.

AceShowbiz - Two more dwarves from "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" have been revealed. After five of the 13 dwarves who accompany Bilbo in his quest were uncovered in two separate pictures, MSN brought out a fresh photo which gives a first look at the dwarf brothers Fili and Kili.

Dean O'Gorman, who made an appearance as Carver Dunn on "Legend of the Seeker", takes on the role of Fili, while Aidan Turner of "Being Human" fame portrays Kili. Their characters are described as two of the youngest Dwarves, who have been born into the royal line of Durin and raised under the stern guardianship of their uncle, Thorin Oakensheild.

It is explained that neither has ever traveled far, nor ever seen the fabled Dwarf City of Erebor. For both, the journey to the Lonely Mountain represents adventure and excitement. Skilled fighters, both brothers set off on their adventure armed with the invincible courage of youth, neither being able to imagine the fate which lies before them.

Warner Bros. have previously shared photos of Dori, Ori and Nori as well as Oin and Gloin. The first three are portrayed by Jed Brophy, Adam Brown and Mark Hadlow, while the two others have John Callen and Peter Hambleton filling in the shoes.

"An Unexpected Journey" follows Bilbo, legendary warrior Thorin Oakenshield and twelve dwarves on an epic quest to the Lonely Mountain to reclaim the lost kingdom Erebor and get the dwarves' lost treasure. Directed and produced by Peter Jackson, it stars Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and many more.

The first of two-part "Hobbit" movie, it is still one and half year away from its scheduled release in the U.S., which has been set for December 14, 2012. Its follow-up, "The Hobbit: There and Back Again", is due to arrive in theaters a year later on December 13, 2013.
