Sneak Peek to Evangelist's Take on Bravo's 'Real Housewives'

Inspired by the hit franchise, 'The Real Housewives of the Bible' features six women dealing with the ups and downs of marriage as they strive to be good wives.

AceShowbiz - "Real Housewives" franchise has been a guilty pleasure for its viewers, but it may not give a lot of lessons. Frustrated with the Bravo reality series, evangelist Ty Adams creates "The Real Housewives of the Bible" which is claimed to be a religious version of the hit shows.

"A lot of society is looking towards programming to educate them on relationships and these shows haven't effectively done that," Adams said. "They have ruined and tainted our ability to secure good relationships and to make women into good wives."

The two-part DVD series, due out later this month, follows six women dealing with the ups and downs of marriage as they strive to be good wives. Each of them bears similarity to a different woman from the Bible, including a woman who struggles with infertility like biblical Sarah, and a gold-digging woman like Delilah from the Book of Judges.

Adams said she aims to help women juxtapose real-life issues with Christian teaching, which obliges women to attempt to sustain relationships that have endured extra-marital affairs and other hardships. "Many single women can get a man but they can't keep a man," the Detroit-based evangelist added.

"So many singles have been in girlfriend status for so long that they only understand that mentality," Adams, who has provided Christian relationship advice for nearly ten years, further explained. "They don't know what it takes to be a good wife in order to sustain a relationship and some parts of society promotes that."

Also presenting some drama like "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" or "The Real Housewives of Orange County", "Real Housewives of the Bible" captures the couple's argument as it can be seen in the sneak peek shared via CNN. Still, it trades cat fight for Christian values.
