The 'Stronger with Each Tears' singer sings about weathering the difficult things in the soundtrack for the Emma Stone-starring drama.

AceShowbiz - Fresh off her triumphant gig at Essence Music Festival, Mary J. Blige released a new song called "Living Proof" which serves as a soundtrack for "The Help". Featuring emotional lyrics, the piano ballad is well suited for the sad tone of the Emma Stone-starring movie.

The R&B diva bares her heart out, sharing her struggle. She belted out the inspirational lyrics after the piano interlude, "It's gonna be a long, long journey/ It's gonna be an uphill climb/ It's gonna be a tough fight, there's gonna be some lonely nights/ But I'm ready to carry on."

Talking about the song, she said, "I wanted to be involved with this film, because I think we need to encourage each other more, we are here to tell a story. The beautiful thing about these women is that they were very smart. To speak to so many women with this song means a lot to me."

Set in Mississippi during the 1960s, "The Help" is based on a #1 New York Times best-selling book of the same name. The drama film tells a story of a young white woman and two African-American maids who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project that breaks societal rules and puts them all at risk.

Stone plays the young white woman. Viola Davis portrays a middle-aged African-American maid named Aibileen Clark who has spent her life raising white children. Octavia Spencer is cast as another African-American maid, Minny Jackson, who frequently gets fired because she often talks back to her employers.

The film will hit U.S. theaters on August 12. Beside having beautiful music by Mary J. Blige, the Tate Taylor-directed movie will also feature songs by the likes of Johnny Cash, Mavis Staples and Bob Dylan. The soundtrack album will be released across the country on July 26.
