'The Three Musketeers' Gets New Release Date

The Paul W.S. Anderson-helmed film is pushed back to October 21, while 'W.E.' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D' get release dates.

AceShowbiz - Summit Entertainment has announced a new release date for "The Three Musketeers". Originally scheduled for October 14 release, the movie which revolves around legendary Musketeers trio will hit cinemas across the United States on October 21.

Meanwhile, The Weinstein Company and Lionsgate have just unraveled release dates for their upcoming movies. The former will drop "W.E." in theaters across the nation on December 9 this year, and the latter will debut "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D" on October 5, 2012. Additionally, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that "J. Edgar" and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" will grace U.S. theaters in October and December this year respectively.

"The Three Musketeers", which is shot in 3-D, follows D'Artagnan who reunites Athos, Porthos and Aramis to stop the evil Cardinal Richlieu, Duke of Buckingham as well as the treacherous Milady de Winter. Logan Lerman stars as the hot-headed D'Artagnan, with Matthew Macfadyen, Ray Stevenson and Luke Evans portraying the three heroes.

Meanwhile, "W.E.", which is set in 1998, tells the story of two fragile but determined women - Wally Winthrop and Wallis Simpson - who are separated by more than six decades. This drama flick will be the second movie where Madonna serves behind the lens after her directorial debut "Filth and Wisdom" in 2008.

"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D" is a John Luessenhop-directed thriller film which centers its story on a chainsaw-yielding killer known as Leatherface. The murderer terrorizes a group of young teens.

As for "J. Edgar", the movie will see Leonardo DiCaprio taking the role of controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. In WB's next drama, "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close", Tom Hanks teams up with Sandra Bullock.
