The Pixar animated movie takes the first spot of the chart by raking $68 million, while 'Bad Teacher' opens with $31 million at the second rank.

AceShowbiz - Pixar newest animated film, "Cars 2", accelerates to the first rank of the box office chart. Grossing about $68 million, the adventure comedy movie slams down pre-release surveys, which predicted the flick would debut with $55 million.
A nice opening also comes from "Bad Teacher". The R-rated comedy movie takes the second spot on the chart by gaining an estimated $31 million from 3,049 theaters, with 63|percent| of the moviegoers were women.
As "Cars 2" drives in, "Green Lantern" gives the box office reign to the car-themed cartoon and sits at number three. The movie, in which Ryan Reynolds stars as the first human being chosen as one of the interstellar cops, rakes in approximately $18.4 million.
Meanwhile, "Super 8" and "Mr. Popper's Penguins" claim the fourth and fifth spot respectively. The J.J. Abrams-directed film obtains approximately $12.1 million, or slips 43.6|percent| from last week's cume. The Jim Carrey-starred movie tumbles about 44.2|percent|, or grosses an estimated $10.3 million from its ticket selling.
