'21' and 'Born This Way' switch places on the U.S. album chart with the former taking the first spot and the latter falling to the runner-up place.

AceShowbiz - After being forced to give up her No. 1 position on Billboard Hot 200 to Lady GaGa for two weeks in a row, Adele bounces back to the hot spot this week. The British singer/songwriter comes back reclaiming the penthouse of the weekly rundown with her sophomore set "21" which sells another 114,000 copies.

The album has so far pulled in around 2.2 million copies since making its way out across the country in late February this year, becoming a strong contender for best-selling album of the year. It hit 1 million mark by April, making Adele the first artist to rake in such a whopping sale number this year.

This week marks Adele's 10th non-consecutive week on the first position on the U.S. Album chart. She joins a few of female artists who in the last 10 years manage to hold the first position for many weeks. Taylor Swift sat at No. 1 with 2008 "Fearless" for 11 weeks and 2010 "Speak Now" for 6 weeks. Norah Jones' 2004 "Feels Like Home" and Susan Boyle's 2009 "I Dreamed a Dream" once ruled the chart for six weeks.

Also a record-breaking album, GaGa's "Born This Way" has to settle at No. 2 with 100,000 units this week. Bowing at the first position on the chart two weeks ago with a huge 1.1 million mark, the Mother Monster's album suffered 84|percent| decrease in the second week and 42|percent| down in the third. Being released worldwide on May 23, it has so far sold a total of 1.4 million copies.

Next on the chart this week, there is "The Book of Mormon" CD which makes a huge jump to from No. 124 No. 3. Fresh off its big win at 2011 Tony Awards which saw the Broadway musical bringing home nine prizes out of 14 nominations, the soundtrack compilation of the play sells 61,000 copies.

The album, which first arrived on the chart at No. 31, scores the largest sales week for any cast album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data in 1991. The previous best sales week for a cast set belonged to the original London cast recording of "Phantom of the Opera" (Highlights), which sold 54,000 over the Christmas week of 1992.

Rounding up the top 5 are Tech N9ne and Ronnie Dunn who sit at the fourth and fifth place respectively. The former earns his first top 10 album and best sales week with "All 6's And 7's" which bows with 56,000. The latter, meanwhile, tastes the No. 5 position with 45,000.
