Sean Bean to Appear in 'Game of Thrones' Finale Despite Ned's Tragic Fate
TV

The Stark patriarch will show up in the upcoming episode since two of her children will see him in a way which would be expected.

AceShowbiz - Although Sean Bean is the lead actor on "Game of Thrones", his character is not staying long on the show. As seen in last week's episode titled "Baelor", Eddard Stark [SPOILER ALERT!] faces the end of his life with Joffrey ordering the Lord of Winterfell's execution.

If it can be called a good news, Bean's character will still show up in the season finale although he has been beheaded in the penultimate episode. Revealing how Ned will appear, Natalie Abrams of TVLine says, "Two of his children will see him in a way you'd probably expect of television; a third, though, will have a shocking run-in with dear old Dad."

The shocking plot of the June 12 outing has caused some viewers, especially those who have not read the book, threaten not to watch the critically acclaimed show anymore. Bean himself has spoken up about his character's tragic fate, saying "I thought it was a very dramatic ending, a very dramatic thing to do, to kill... I suppose I was playing the lead, you know, and you just get killed."

In contrary to fans who might want to see him more on "Game of Thrones", Bean was totally supportive to the existing script. "I thought it was a great decision by the writers. They not only kill the king off, they kill his right hand man," he gushed.

"Game of Thrones" season 1 finale, "Fire and Blood", will air Sunday, June 19 at 9 P.M. on HBO. Still coping with the loss of The Stark patriarch, Ned's wife Catelyn swears to their son Robb that they will kill all of Ned's enemies.
