Jon Hamm on 'Mad Men': It Should End

Believing that it is the best for the show to end after three more seasons, the Don Draper depicter says, 'Everything should end.'

is relieving the fact that "" will end after three more seasons. Although the show catapulted him to his fame, the 40-year-old believes that it will end anyway. "I think it should end," he recently said. "Everything should end. I was a big fan of '' over here [in the U.K.] because it ended."

Long negotiations of creator Matthew Weiner's contract with AMC/Lionsgate cause a delay to production of the fifth season, but the actor refused to blame anyone in this case. "It was nobody's fault really, it was the network and the studio. When billionaires fight it tends to take a lot longer than when normal people do," he explained to BBC.

The season 5 premiere of "Mad Men" will additionally mark a directorial debut for Hamm. However, the "" star claimed he has not seen the script yet. "I don't think they exist," he gushed. "The way Matthew writes the show is very organically. He starts when he starts and eventually there are scripts but I certainly haven't seen them."

"Mad Men" will kick off production for the upcoming season in late July or early August, while the show will return in March 2012.
