Director/producer J.J. Abrams has suggested that the release date for the sci-fi film might be rescheduled, saying 'I care much more that it be good than it be ready.'

The release date for the sequel of "" may be pushed back. During a recent interview, director/producer J.J. Abrams hinted that he cared much about the quality of the untitled Star Trek sequel rather than rushing it to meet its release date.

"I care much more that it be good than it be ready," he said. "I'm, obviously doing everything I can to make sure that schedules don't get screwed up. But I don't think anyone wants a movie on time that's not worth your time."

"We're working really hard to get that movie made as soon as possible, but we don't want to rush anything," he further detailed. "The worst thing we could possible do would be to put something into production to make a release date instead of a great movie."

Abrams also revealed that he has not considered about making the science fiction film in 3-D. "I haven't gotten that threatening phone call from men in suits. I know what's good for me," he added.
