AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson is expanding her fashion empire to the tween market, and this time she will get some help from Ashlee Simpson. The "Come on Over" singer is creating a tween line that will feature shoes, outerwear, sportswear, activewear and jeans as part of the Jessica Simpson Collection. Her younger sister will serve as co-creative director.

The 30-year-old tells Women's Wear Daily, "Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand." On her collaboration with Ashlee, she says, "I'm excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today's tweens."

26-year-old Ashlee herself has shared on what she is aiming for in creating the new fashion line. She notes, "My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion."

The new collection, which will also include knit tops, hoodies, pullovers, striped shrunken knits and graphic T-shirts, is expected to debut later this year with affordable pieces. It will be made available in over 400 stores across the United States and Canada, including Dillard's, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Belk, Von Maur, Bon-Ton and The Bay.
