At least three new faces would be found in the new season as soon as the original characters left CDC and found a farm.

Those craving for a slight hint about the highly-anticipated second season of "The Walking Dead" can feast on the following casting news. TV Line acquired the names and type of characters who would be introduced in the new season.

Survivors include Hersel, the owner of Hershel's Farm where the season 1 survivors would stumble upon. Hershel is a veterinarian, "a Wilford Brimley type", who has a daughter named Maggie. Then there's a middle-aged ranch foreman called Otis who is "such a sweetheart that he all but loses it when he accidentally shoots a fellow survivor."

Earlier this month, creator Robert Kirkman said that Stan Lee was crossing fingers to make a cameo, but he hoped to be among the dead. "There may be some fun cameos for comics fans popping up in the second season," Kirkman said. "I don't wanna call these people out; it might annoy them. Honestly, Stan Lee asked to be a zombie on the show - that's possible."

AMC is yet to announce the exact date of season 2 premiere but Kirkman told THR two weeks ago that the production would start "in a few weeks" in Atlanta. And on another AMC news, the network has announced that the delayed Season 4 of "Breaking Bad" will premiere on Sunday, July 17.
