First 'Fright Night' Clip: Colin Farrell Gives Anton Yelchin a Warning
Movie

In the new sneak peek, Colin's Jerry has a heart-to-heart exchange with Anton's Charlie in which the former describes the raw appeal of the latter's girlfriend and mother.

AceShowbiz - The first clip from "Fright Night" has been premiered as part of MTV's "Sneak Peek Week" for the promotional effort for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. The less-than-a-minute video takes the focus on a heart-to-heart conversation between Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin in which the former gives the latter a warning about the raw appeal of his girlfriend and mother.

Anton plays high school senior Charlie Brewster, while Colin tackles the role of a vampire named Jerry. In the movie, Charlie finally has it all going on. He's running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry moves in next door.

Jerry seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right, but everyone, including Charlie's mom, doesn't notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, he has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself.

"Fright Night" is a remake of Tom Holland's 1985 film of the same name. This comedy-horror film has "Lars and the Real Girl" director Craig Gillespie behind the lens. Imogen Poots, Toni Collette and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are among the cast ensemble. It is set to hit theaters nationwide on August 19.
