The NBC show averaged 8.3 million viewers, but only earned a 2.9/7 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. It was down 15|percent| from its last season finale and marked the franchise's lowest spring finale ever.

The reality show crowned John Rich as the winner for this season. The country music singer has spoken up about the result, saying "I would not have been crushed If I had had not won." He further explained, "I wanted to win because I wanted that last quarter of a million for St Jude, but raising over a million dollars for them and getting the awareness factor out there," before adding "I don't think there were any losers last night."

Back to Sunday's ratings, the highest-rated program that night was FOX's "Family Guy" with a 3.0 rating/7 share in the demo, which was down 3|percent| from last season's finale. The network was placed second among adults 18-49 although "American Dad" (3.6 million, 1.6) and "Bob's Burgers" (4.3 million, 2.1) slipped slightly. "The Simpsons" remained steady with 5.3 million viewers and a 2.5 rating.

Topping the demographic on Sunday night was ABC, averaging a 2.6 rating with the Billboard Music Awards (7.9 million, 2.9) and "America's Funniest Home Videos" (6.1 million, 1.5). Meanwhile, CBS won in viewers with an average of 12.1 million. Its show "Jesse Stone: Innocents Loss" (13.7 million, 1.3) was the most-watched program.
