Movie

The 'Blue Valentine' beauty is allegedly in negotiations to portray the Good Witch of the North in the action adventure film.

AceShowbiz - Disney may have found Glinda for its forthcoming film, "Oz, the Great and Powerful". Variety broke the news that Michelle Williams is in talks to take the role of the Good Witch in the Sam Raimi-directed movie.

If Williams indeed signs up to portray the Good Witch of the North in "Oz, The Great and Powerful", the casting of the four leads will be complete. Thus, the action adventure movie will be ready for the filming in July in Michigan to meet a possible fall 2012 release.

William's character will fight against her evil sister Evanora, played by Rachel Weisz. Glinda is also joined by her younger sister, Mila Kunis' Theodora. However, after James Franco's snake-oil salesman jilted the young witch's sexual advance, Theodora joins Evanora and helps her rule the magical land of Oz.

Williams received her first recognition through her role on "Dawson's Creek". She also snatched various awards and nominations through her role in "Brokeback Mountain", including 2006 BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. The 30-year-old actress has recently been nominated for Best Actress at 2011 Academy Awards. She will next be seen in "Take This Waltz" and "My Week with Marilyn".
