Report: Rachel Weisz to Be Johnny Depp's Wife in 'The Thin Man'
Movie

Words are, the actress will take the role of Nora, the wife of Depp's Nick Charles, who helps him investigate a case in the forthcoming movie.

AceShowbiz - Rumor has it, Rachel Weisz may join Johnny Depp in "The Thin Man". Cinema Blend has lifted the issue, saying that Warner Bros. Pictures is considering the actress to star as Nora, the wife of Depp's Nick Charles.

Although she is wanted to take the female lead role, Weisz has not yet got involved in a negotiation with WB. As for the reason, Cinema Blend reports that the studio is trying to fit the film in Depp's tight schedule, as he will appear in some other movies, including "The Lone Ranger" and "Dark Shadows".

Earlier today, Weisz is also rumored in deep talks with Universal Pictures to take the female lead role in "The Bourne Legacy". In addition to the "Bourne" rumor, the star of "The Mummy" has been said to play Evanora in "Oz, the Great and Powerful".

Unfortunately, there are scheduling conflicts between both films. Production of the "Bourne" film will begin in September, while "Oz" will start filming this summer. Thus, she has to decide which project she will sign up for.

"The Thin Man" revolves around Charles, a former detective who, along with his wife Nora, parties too much but ends up investigating a case. The remake for 1934's film of the same name has Rob Marshall serve behind the lens.
