From suing the Facebook founder to charming Snow White, Hammer challenges himself with a rollercoaster thriller about a mysterious light.

AceShowbiz - More jobs are streaming down on Armie Hammer's way. The "The Social Network" star is now attached to a psychological thriller about an air traffic controller who investigates a mysterious flash of light. Titled "2:22", the project was announced by Lightstream Pictures on Monday, May 2.

The studio's co-founder Paul Currie would be directing and using the script from Todd Stein and Nathan Parker's original concept. The film is described as "rollercoaster thriller that centers on Dylan an air traffic controller who is given a jolt when he narrowly escapes being responsible for a mid air collision between two passenger planes."

"Caused by a mysterious blinding light that happened at 2:22, these strange occurrences continue and lead Dylan to meet Sarah, with whom he feels inexplicably linked. Together the two discover uncanny similarities with their current predicament and a double murder committed a generation ago. With a grim fate looming, Dylan must solve the mystery of 2:22 to preserve a love whose second chance has finally come."

The film is to shoot in Sydney, Australia this fall and sell at the Cannes International Film Festival. Hammer is to play Dylan but other actors are yet to be announced. Hammer has just finished the shooting of "J. Edgar" and still has "Snow White" in his agenda. He is also in talks to star opposite Johnny Depp in "The Lone Ranger" as the titular character.
