Artist of the Week: Alexis Jordan
Music

Eliminated from 'America's Got Talent', Jordan continued to pursue 'Happiness' through YouTube and demos.

AceShowbiz - More than a singer looking for an approval from a reality show, Alexis Jordan worked her way up through her own effort. Jordan was a contestant of "America's Got Talent" but it was her YouTube account and demos which landed him a contract with Jay-Z's Roc Nation.

Jordan is on the verge of releasing "Hush Hush", a single which will follow her first two successful singles. Her debut single "Happiness" broke through Billboard Dance Chart and made her popular in Europe and Australia. Her second, "Good Girl", was also a smash hit, climbing all the way to number 1 on Billboard Dance Chart.

Her debut album, "Alexis Jordan", was released in February 2011, peaking at number 9 on U.K. Albums chart and number 11 at Australian Albums chart. For her U.K. success, she was tapped to tour with English group JLS in U.K. this June. She is also an act at Glasgow pop festival In:Demand Live, which takes place in June at the SECC, together with The Feeling.
