The reboot reportedly will involve a significant role for Sheen's co-star Jon Cryer and introduce a new character.

AceShowbiz - CBS' plans to move on with "Two and a Half Men" sans Charlie Sheen have begun to take shape. Words are, co-creator Chuck Lorre has an idea to reboot the sitcom "with a new creative direction that does not involve Sheen." The network as well as the production company, Warner Bros., are reportedly aware of this.

Moreover, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Lorre has presented close associates and "Two and a Half Men" actor Jon Cryer with the plan. The reboot project reportedly will involve a significant role for Cryer and the introduction of a new character which is yet to be cast.

Sheen, who was fired from the show in March, had been reported approaching his former bosses to return. However, WB denied that there were talks to have him back. "There have been no discussions, there are no discussions and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement with the series," the studio stated in a letter.

Hours after news of "Two and a Half Men" reboot hit the web, TMZ claims to have got its hand on a letter written by Sheen to Lorre. In the fiery letter, the troubled actor reportedly calls Lorre a "sad silly fool," an "A-hole p*ssy loser" and a "low rent, nut-less sociopath".

"...No one cares about your feeble show without me," he adds, referring to the CBS' series. "The ratings right now are not a fluke. It's a big fat mess. A 2.0 demo. That sucks." He further blasts Lorre, "Not even a phone call to the man that put you on the map. The man that put 500 million dollars in your pockets ... I busted my ass for 8 years to support your vision. They are planning on voting you off the AA island. Even those clowns have no room for you anymore."
