Rose, Jill, Mikey, Tracy, and Nikki are not returning for the new season, and are replaced by a number of chicks who are mostly new to the Los Angeles scene.

AceShowbiz - "The Real L Word" is coming back with a lot less of old faces and a lot more of new ones. Whitney Mixter from season 1 is the only original cast that makes the cut in the revamped season 2, joined by Romi who was supporting in the first season, an online magazine entrepreneur, a business executive, a couple trying for baby and an LGBT activist.
Whitney returns with a new agenda. The official site said, "An undeniable woman magnet, her life is a complicated web of friends and exes, and exes who are friends. By far the biggest complication is Sara, the temptation Whitney just can't seem to resist, despite her friends' warnings. But beyond the girl drama, Whitney is making 2011 her year to re-focus on her creative passions and give back to the community."
Claire is the mag entrepreneur who is in the middle of a major life change - leaving her life in New York City, amazing girlfriend included, to see what Los Angeles has to offer. She used to date cast member Francine for five years. While Claire is finding out whether Francine is "the one", Francine hopes for closure because she's ready to put the drama behind her. In addition, Francine also grapples with whether or not to come out to her traditional Japanese mother.
Married couple Cori and Kacy are now ready to start a family. Cameras will follow them looking for a donor, a doctor and figuring out their insemination plan. Cori also has to bid adieu to her carefree party days and quit smoking.
And then there is Romi who made quite an impression from season 1. Beside girlfriend Kelsey, a jewelry line is also new to Romi. Juggling between her career and being "emotionally and sexually available to Kelsey", Romi is stretched thin but is struggling not to come back to alcohol for solution.
Last but not least is Sajdah who was once nominated for high school prom queen and only recently went butch. New to LA and the lesbian world, Saj isn't shy about making friends or speaking out on behalf of the gay community through activist work. She meets her first girlfriend and is learning how to work on a relationship.
The new season launches June 5 on Showtime.
