AceShowbiz - Christoph Waltz has sat down along with Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler in an "American Idol" spoof. Made as a sketch for "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", the short video sees the "Inglourious Basterds" actor channeling his inner mean judge.
After launching his harsh comments to Stefano Langone, Waltz sends firing squads to "sentence him to death". Amidst the audience booing, the Oscar winner shows up on the stage to criticize that there is too much praise on the show. "You don't inflate a malfunctioning ego. No, you eliminate him. Permanently," he declares.
Waltz then does a quick dance to "Who Let the Dogs Out" in front of the three real judges and urges them to criticize his performance in order to "save" their lives. J.Lo and Jackson follow his request well and "save" their lives, but Tyler fails to do so and does not make the cut.
"American Idol" itself recently sent Stefano Langone packing on Thursday, April 21. The 22-year-old singer later admitted that he "was never really wanting to be the American Idol." He added, "It's a show and now it's time for me to really move forward and become that mark - that mark, that footprint - that I know I can put on this industry."
